Position Summary Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) professionals provides advisory services including Accounting and regulatory support for accounting change and special matters, accounting processes and controls support. Within EY FAAS practice, the Finance Transformation Experts team build and develop client relationship along with our regional stakeholders. We are part of an integrated global network of professionals who develop, design and optimise client service business processes for efficiency and high performance. We leverage and improve various frameworks, methodologies, solutions specific to our offerings to deliver value to our clients. We are looking for an experienced professional to join EY FAAS team to help drive growth and support delivery teams and bring subject matter expertise in Finance Transformation solutions. The Senior should be competent to support a portfolio of clients and be responsible for the timeliness and quality of the work as per EY Global Standards for our FAAS team. While the Senior will be based out of our Gurugram or Bengaluru offices, the individual will be responsible for supporting EY practices and clients across the Global Market. Also, the individual will be required to travel to other countries (short-term) for executing the client engagements, as necessary and applicable. Primary Responsibilities The Senior will support teams of FAAS professionals during engagements covering a broad spectrum of areas. The individual will be responsible for the following tasks: Support the FAAS team in executing one or more Finance Transformation engagements including the following: Streamlining and improvement of existing finance processes Process design skills – able to critically review existing processes; make recommendations for rationalisation and improvement Support technology led enterprise transformation projects for our clients Assist in development and execution of a comprehensive finance transformation strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives Assist team in provide strategic recommendations to senior management, leveraging the individual’s expertise and experience, on utilizing new technologies, automation, and digitization to drive innovation and transform the finance function Identify key areas of improvement within the finance function and support initiatives to streamline processes, optimize systems, and enhance overall performance Support clients on financial statement close optimization engagements, by providing assistance in areas including chart of accounts rationalisation, journal entries rationalisation, inter-company process optimization, month end close optimization etc. by leveraging best industry practices Process optimization experience in areas like Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P), Hire to Retire (H2R) and Treasury etc. Support on change management efforts to ensure seamless adoption and integration of new processes, technologies, and ways of working Develop a robust performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and track the finance function's progress and effectiveness, using the individual’s expertise in performance management Assist in providing training, coaching, and guidance to finance team members, and assist them in understanding and engaging in the finance transformation journey Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and industry standards Qualifications, Skills And Experience To qualify, candidates must have: Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA (US), ACCA (UK) or MBA with 5-10 years of relevant experience Knowledge of Finance domain and preferably a large network in this field Experience on Finance transformation, process optimisation projects including R2R, O2C, P2P and other finance processes Knowledge of various data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI Knowledge of SAP and other leading ERPs, reporting tools like Blackline, Trintech, Hyperion etc Knowledge of consolidation, reporting, inter-company and ERP data structures Have experience in current state analysis (As is), future state analysis (To be), process optimization, data optimization, data analytics, data management Proficiency in financial software applications and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, utilizing skills to lead and assist in leveraging technology for finance transformation Knowledge of latest technology landscape, trends and solutions Strong problem solving and analytical skills Good listening skills, inquisitive nature, intellectual curiosity and self-starter qualities Fluent written and verbal communication and presentation skills Willingness to work in a global environment where travel is regularly required for several clients Ideally, you’ll also have Interest in business and commerciality.
