Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic individual to provide participant engagement and support in the timber industry. This role requires someone who combines trade expertise with a heart for helping others, particularly those in the disability community. If you have a knack for tools, machinery, and teamwork, and want to make a positive impact, we’d love to hear from you.
This is 30 hour a week contract, 4 days a week
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide hands-on support to participants within the timber industry.
* Utilise trade experience and knowledge of tools/machinery to mentor and assist.
* Promote and maintain compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards.
* Engage with participants to foster their growth, independence, and confidence.
* Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
* Assist with organisational tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

* Timber Industry Knowledge: A strong understanding of timber processes and applications.
* Trade Experience: Skilled in working with tools and machinery.

* Teamwork: A collaborative spirit with the ability to work harmoniously in a group setting.
* Disability Sector Experience: Prior experience working in the disability industry is essential.
* Organisational Skills: Ability to manage tasks effectively and ensure a structured approach to work.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Licenses: Truck license or forklift license – or a willingness to obtain these certifications.
* Bonus Skills: Mechanical aptitude or an interest in timber-related innovations.
