Up to £27,750 per annum (pro rata), depending on experience
18 hours per week
The job is for 18 hours per week - hours can be flexible to meet the needs of the service and the individual but will include Saturday working on a rota basis.
As a Pharmacy Assistant at our Chichester Hospital, you will hold a Buttercups (or equivalent) qualification in Pharmacy Services, and you'll have proven post-qualification experience. It is also important that you have excellent communication and people skills, as you'll be working closely with our patients and a variety of clinical staff. You will also have good computer skills.
As a Pharmacy Assistant you will:
* Monitor stock levels within the Pharmacy department and maintain appropriate stock levels
* Assist with the procurement of pharmaceutical stock for the pharmacy and other departments using appropriate electronic systems
* Monitor stock levels in designated ward/department areas by carrying out stock top ups
* Participate in pharmacy and departmental stock takes
* Help with general dispensing as required
* Provide general administrative support to the department

Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital is a 30 bedded hospital within walking distance of the city centre with free onsite car parking. The hospital has two laminar flow operating theatres, a JAG accredited endoscopy unit and two minor treatment rooms in the outpatient department. There is a small radiology department and CT/ MRI services are provided in a mobile unit. Inpatient physiotherapy is provided within the hospital whilst our outpatients attend the fitness and wellbeing centre at Chichester gate for their follow up physio and hydrotherapy treatments.
Our main speciality is orthopaedics. We also care for patients needing treatment within the specialties of gynaecology, urology, general surgery, plastic surgery, ophthalmology max fax, and pain. We provide outpatient services for dermatology, cardiology, neurology, and rheumatology.
