We are recruiting for a Head of Planning and Contracts who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The role is a unique opportunity to lead the Trust's role in population health management, contract negotiation and management, and both short-term and long-term strategic and annual planning cycles. As part of this role, you will work collaboratively across the health and care system, engaging in and influencing the development of system-wide plans and collaborative projects.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading the negotiation, development and management of key commissioning contracts and supporting contracts and sub-contracts, ensuring that the terms and contents of any contracts reflect the Trust’s best interests;
2. Providing a high level of technical expertise on contracts, ensuring the latest national health and care policy is communicated and implemented within the Trust;
3. Co-ordinating and leading the development of a coherent series of annual and longer-term strategic business plans;
4. Working closely with Trust colleagues across corporate, clinical and operational teams, and with wider system partners, to ensure plans are aligned and developed in a consistent manner;
5. Developing a strategic prioritisation framework that aligns with the Trust’s agreed strategic objectives, and that allows a consistent approach to the consideration and prioritisation of business cases and provider intentions within the Trust;
6. Engagement in the development of population health management;
7. Day-to-day management of and leadership to other members of the Planning and Contracts team.
