Location: Stoke on Trent office; Hybrid role, office/home and site with some regional travel - North West/Yorkshire, East and West Midlands. Working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, typically 8.30 am - 5.00 pm.

Within our Public Services and Commercial team, covering Healthcare, Education, and Leisure sectors on various Refurbishment and Fast Track projects, you will work both from home/office and on site, collaborating with your team in an inclusive environment.
The role involves obtaining and evaluating information to ensure a realistic cost for the supply of works, goods, materials, and services for designated Fit-out and Refurbishment projects while liaising with Contractors, Suppliers, and Clients to ensure information, costs, profitability, and value meet project requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation, processing, and selection of estimates, bids, and tenders to demanding timescales.
* Assist in the development of the procurement programme.
* Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts for designated projects.
* Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment to the Client/Client's representative.
* Prepare monthly valuation reports.
* Submit invoices for certified value and ensure payments are received on time.
* Value and authorise payments to sub-contractors.
* Liaise with Contract Managers to establish the project specification and requirements.
* Attend and contribute to meetings with work colleagues and/or Clients/Customers when necessary, building relationships and demonstrating excellent communication skills.
* Monitor the contract progress, assess, and report any changes that may affect project costs and/or time scale.
* Assist in the control of contract budgets.
You will have experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant within the Education, Healthcare, and Leisure Refurbishment/Fast Fit environment, which will give you the knowledge to hit the ground running and contribute effectively to the team. Attention to detail and great written and verbal communication skills are essential to your success. You must also have proficient MS Office skills and hold a Full UK Driving Licence, as travel is required for this role.
