Salary:£45,628+ depending on skillsand experience
What you’ll be doing:
* Designing the SSN AUKUS which is now theworld’s most advancedSubmarine
* Using your knowledge of hydrostatics,hydrodynamics, seamanship & outfit, infrastructure or wholeboat design to support the largest shipbuilding programmes in theUK
* Supporting with sea trials, incliningexperiments and other commissioning activities for multiplesubmarine classes
* Undertaking research and developmentactivities to develop world leading capabilities
* Writing and presenting technicalreports
Your skills andexperiences:
Essential:
* Demonstrable experience as aNaval Architect
* Chartered Engineer or working towardsChartered status
Desirable:
* Degree in Naval Architecture
* Experience in ship design analysis andbuild support
* Advanced numeracy and analyticalskills
* Previous experience working on defenceprojects

The Naval Architectureteam:
As a Naval Architect, you will be animportant member in one of the largest and fastest growing NavalArchitecture Departments in the UK. You will be working on some ofthe most complex ship design and build programmes ever undertakento deliver cutting edge submarines to the Royal Navy and RoyalAustralian Navy.
This role will provide you with the chanceto work on submarines at all stages of the product life cycle fromearly design to build support and commission. The NavalArchitecture Department comprises teams specialising weightsengineering, stability and hydrostatics, infrastructure support,seamanship and outfit, manoeuvring and control, fluid dynamics,design and development. Depending on your location, the role willinvolve working one day a week on site, with expectation to travelto Barrow for work commitments. We offer relocation supportpackages across all Submarines roles, subject to meetingeligibilitycriteria.
