VVB are seeking a Senior Project Manager to manage various project teams to safely deliver on time, to stated quality, at minimum cost and to client satisfaction. Acting as the link between the client and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing leadership and project management in all facets of the project activities to deliver the project to meet cost, time, and quality requirements.
2. Developing and managing effective communication and liaison with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure that requirements are identified, assessed, and appropriately integrated into the project.
3. Working with the client and reporting to the sector manager, responsible for helping to establish the strategy and delivery for the project.
4. Managing the project P&L.
5. Working in a client facing role, responsible for leading other team members, developing the clients' strategy, through to assisting in the appointment of the extended professional team of local consultants and contractors.
6. Developing the clients brief, delivering strategy, and leading the design management, procurement and execution of the scheme.
7. Supervising and developing a high performing team that strives for quality, safety, cost and schedule improvements at every opportunity with all delivery partners, challenging and seeking to improve the project deliverables.
8. Overseeing that the highest standards of health and safety are considered as a priority through all stages of the project.
9. Coordinating, planning, and managing internal and external meetings in relation to the project.
10. Driving the procurement of services and works required to deliver the project.
11. Providing input into client system safety and project risk assessment and management process.
Line Management Duties:
1. Review competencies of all personnel within the department to ensure that all personnel have suitable training, qualifications & behaviours to ensure suitability for the role.
2. Accountable for the monitoring of productivity on all works.
3. Accountable for the creation and management of a high performing workforce within the discipline.
4. Accountable for the timely delivery of key HR activities within the Utilities team including annual salary and bonus reviews, appraisals, talent and succession planning etc.
5. Support in the creation and design of development programmes and employee upskilling activities.
6. Ensure that own and direct reports' mandatory e-learning modules and policy updates have been completed as and when required.
7. Manage any recruitment requirements via the ATS system.
8. Use the Cascade HR system to manage employee records and absences.
9. Familiarise and actively engage in using the Notify system and ensure direct reports are fully aware of the Notify system and use the system for Health and Safety related matters.
10. Have an in depth understanding of all information security projects, policies and procedures.
11. Oversees and ensures that direct reports receive governance training on all information security policies and procedures.
12. Ensures that any update in information security policies and procedures are communicated to direct reports.
13. Understand the procedure for effective reporting and management of security incidents and breaches.
14. Day to day line management of workforce within the Sector/individual projects.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
1. Line management of all project staff (white and blue collar).

1. Detailed knowledge of design process and associated compliance.
2. Experience of Delivery of turnkey projects from tendering through to installation and handover.
3. Proven culture of sustainability and social responsibility.
4. Familiar with the UK energy market.
5. Knowledge of relevant UK energy standards and processes.
Qualifications:
1. A degree qualification in related subject or equivalent is preferred.
2. Persons and BESC.
3. SMSTS.
4. CSCS/ECS management card.
5. Professional memberships of a relevant professional body or working towards membership is an advantage.
6. Full Driving License.

1. ILM Level 3.
Experience:
Essential:
1. Previous working experience in a similar role.
2. Experience working in a client-facing role for a PMC or as a client is essential.
3. Experience in the UK Energy Sector.
