Job summary An exciting part-time (2x 30 hours) Administrator opportunity is available at Ravenswood House. Are you an enthusiastic and experienced administrator looking for a busy and varied position that is going to give you a lot of job satisfaction? We are looking for an administrator with good communication skills, both written and orally, with good IT skills in Office 365. The successful applicant will support a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist and their multi-disciplinary team. We are looking for someone that can demonstrate a good level of administrative experience which must include minute/note taking. You will need excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and orally, have a methodical and flexible approach and be able to prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines, while maintaining a professional, customer-focused approach. Applicants should have competent keyboard skills and be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Outlook and Excel. You will be part of a small friendly administration team. Experience within the NHS is desirable, but not essential. Full training will be provided. Main duties, tasks & skills required This role will work as a member of the Admin Team for the Consultant Forensic Psychiatry Team at Ravenswood House. The post holder will be expected to provide efficient secretarial and administrative support including typing of general correspondence, minutes of meetings, letters, presentations, reports and reproduction and distribution of said documents in appropriate and confidential manner. The post holder will have the ability to complete work by certain deadlines and prioritise work appropriately. The main duties will include: Provide secretarial support to the Consultant Psychiatrist and the Multi-Disciplinary Team. Communicate with a range of internal and external professionals and organisations, whilst providing good customer service experience for all service users and others at all times. To provide cross-cover support to other administration colleagues as required. Ensure a friendly and professional ethos within the Team/department for service users, their carers and other visitors to the service. Person specification Qualifications Essential Computing qualifications (eg ECDL) or equivalent. Good standard of education including English and Maths. Relevant typing qualifications (RSA or equivalent), at least 45 words per minute.
