Job summary You will be the first person the patient encounters either on the phone or face to face and represent the link the patient has to the GPs and other services in the practice. Your job will be varied, dealing with the patients, processing letters and prescription requests and hospital referrals and ensuring everything is in place for the smooth running of the practice. You will be part of a close knit team in a family orientated practice and have plenty of opportunity for training and enhancing your administrative and people skills in a friendly and supportive environment. Main duties of the job You will need to be good with people and calm under pressure. You need good telephone skills and be able to use a computer for appointments and administrative purposes. Position operates a fixed rota with 5.5 hr per day, successful candidates will be working Monday, Thursday, Friday Morning 8am-13:30pm and Tuesday, Wednesday 13:00-18:30pm to fit in with existing team.
