We are seeking to appoint a Product Owner for an exciting role within our Product Team.
Job Responsibilities:
Working as part of a team and reporting to the Head of Product, this pivotal role will ensure the delivery of high quality software solutions that meet the expectations of customers and enable the business to achieve its growth demands. You must be able to understand customer requirements, commercial demands and business processes in their widest context, allowing you to recommend solutions to issues that others may not be aware of.
The role itself is very varied and will entail:
* Provide the link between all internal and external customers, including any third party regarding business requirements and software functionality, throughout the release lifecycle, from inception to General Release.
* Gather and prioritise requirements from all stakeholders including customers and internal teams.
* Determine and assess feasibility and risk of requirements.
* Translate requirements into appropriate documentation and communications that can be shared across the business and with customers throughout the product life-cycle.
* Analyse and document system functional processes as part of any projects or change requests.
* Facilitate workshops, interviews and product walk-throughs with customers, prospects and stakeholders.
* Ensure that the release meets deadlines and requirements.
* Be an expert with respect to the competition.
* Attend development planning and review meetings as needed, either on-site or web-based as appropriate.
* Manage and support Early Adopter customers, all stakeholders and third-party partners regarding business requirements and software functionality.
* Undertake functional quality assurance on products.
* Handle customer enquiries that come into the Product Ideas Board.
* Support the management of items in the development queue on internal systems.
* Assist with the installation of CAP2’s products into the customers test environments for testing.
* Produce documentation that supports the installation, training and support of CAP2 products and 3rd party software.
* Occasionally train new customers to ensure knowledge of how product is used remains current.
* Ensure sales and marketing teams have collateral for a successful product launch.
Job Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar product design role, preferably in an agile working methodology or a basic understanding of Product and agile with Operational knowledge of the Leisure Industry.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification in Computer Science or similar would be desirable.
* High level of accuracy and fluency in written and spoken English.
* Certified Scrum Product Owner (desirable).
* Experience of working with SQL databases and SQL query language (desirable).
