Mechanical Inspector Responsible for first off inspection of a range of bespoke precision components. Excellent working culture. Day shift pattern – 7:30am to 4:30pm Mon – Thurs, and a 12:30pm Friday finish. Opportunities for overtime and training on wider metrology / CMM machinery. Salary: c£17.00 per hour. Overtime x1.33 midweek, x1.5 Saturday. Days only role. We are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Inspector to join an established manufacturer that make special purpose components used within a range of sectors. Training can be provided in certain areas for the right person. We do need someone from a Mechanical / Precision Engineering Inspection background due to the nature of components manufactured within the business. Mechanical Inspector Activities & Responsibilities: Perform visual, dimensional inspection of machined parts to drawings and specifications. Inspections to be carried out using manual equipment such as Vernier, micrometer, bore gauge, screw ring and plug gauge, height gauges, projector etc. Ability to run approved CMM programs (Training would be given). Carry out first off and final inspection. Comply with the requirements of the ISO9001:2015 QMS. Maintain inspection documents. Required Skills & Experience as Mechanical Inspector: Proven quality Inspection experience within an engineering environment. Understanding of GDT and the ability to read and understand drawings Capable of 1st principal inspection. A formal engineering qualification/apprentice trained would be an advantage.
