Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in their homes or care homes. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients.
Duties
1. Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
2. Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity while encouraging social interaction and engagement.
3. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
4. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.
5. Follow individual care plans meticulously while adapting to the changing needs of clients.
6. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
7. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
Requirements
1. Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
2. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
3. Familiarity with creating and following care plans is beneficial.
4. A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
5. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by client needs.
