Shift Maintenance Electrician
Job Description
This role is a shift-based position which will require the candidate to work on a 4 on, 4 days off rotation. These shifts will rotate between days and nights, for example:
2 days 07:00 - 19:00, followed by 2 nights 19:00 - 07:00, 4 days off.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible to a Shift Leader for undertaking electrical/mechanical works on a wide range of building services reactive and planned maintenance throughout the London Estate.
2. Carry out duties in compliance with The Companies Engineering Services Policies and Procedures.
3. Perform tasks in a professional manner to a suitable standard to meet both Client and Companies expectations.
4. React efficiently and effectively in line with client SLA's and KPI's.
5. Perform high standards of planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
6. Carry out planned and corrective maintenance works.
7. Produce accurate reports on works carried out.
8. Able to carry out testing/rewiring/installation works to 18th Edition IEE Regs.
9. Able to use diagnostic equipment and work from technical manuals and drawings.
10. Able to work off ladders and at heights.
11. Able to identify visual plant defects, warning lights, and indicators.
12. Able to monitor and record plant performance.
13. Proactive involvement in the ongoing technical evaluation of all plant and equipment, suggesting improvements where appropriate.
14. Carrying out operational and maintenance activities as directed by the Lead Technician, ensuring work is executed in a safe and suitable manner.
15. Working as directed to ensure timely completion of PPM's and reactive work to SLA.
16. Identifying faults and accurately diagnosing root causes.
17. Monitoring and maintaining equipment performance to ensure correct operation of the critical services of the sites.
18. Competent in operation of building services plant and equipment.
19. Comprehensive understanding of building services and proficient in maintenance of:
20. Power, distribution, and switching.
21. Motors controls/Lighting systems/Stand by generators/ Controls systems.
22. Electrical test procedures and certification.
23. Inverter operation and design.
24. Fire alarm/PA systems.
25. Understanding of health and safety issues relating to own work and site.
Qualifications:
1. City & Guilds craft certificate/ONC etc OR Recognised craft apprenticeship.
2. Training certificate to IEE 18th Edition.
3. Training courses appropriate to work area.
4. C&G 2391 or equivalent desirable.
