Making animals’ lives better makes life better – join our team today Position Description: To carry out Predictive Maintenance on rotating assets and repair of Mechanical equipment within Manufacturing Facilities in conformance with the PAM processes and relevant cGMP, Engineering, and Environmental, Health & Safety standards. Functions, Duties, Tasks: Predictive Maintenance/Condition Monitoring: Carry out predictive maintenance routines (Vibration Analysis) on equipment throughout the Speke site, utilising OEM Vibration equipment and software to review data and/or trend as appropriate. Data Sharing: Create reports from the routine predictive maintenance checks and share these with the greater maintenance community (Reliability/Support/Planners/Supervision). Problem Solving: Use diagnostic and experience skills to identify potential faults with equipment and process problems before failure and identify modes of failure and/or deviations and/or root causes. Documentation: Complete records e.g. CMMS work orders, datasheets, stores requisitions, equipment logs following cGMP guidelines, participate in the update of SOPs relevant to the role. Prepare incident reports to assist with RCI/deviations. Improvement projects: Identify and implement improvements to the predictive maintenance program including installation and upgrading of test points on plant equipment to improve reliability and performance. Development & improvement of operating procedures & risk assessments. Maintenance execution: As required carry out equipment maintenance and repairs to relevant standards and in accordance with the site PAM maintenance processes and to meet manufacturers specifications and guidelines. Ensure equipment available to meet safety, quality, and production needs. Workshop activities: Facilities used in accordance with safe working practices and to support tasks carried out on plant eg repairs and refurbishment of equipment which includes dismantling and detailed cleaning of equipment and components for overhaul. EHS: Execute work in accordance with Safer Speke through safe working practices, safe systems of work, and risk assessment. Look for and report EHS issues. Report EHS incidents and participate in root cause investigations and identification of countermeasures to prevent recurrence. Information Technology: Operate and maintain the full range of process control equipment. Use business systems to support admin tasks (CMMS system, e-mail, HSE tracks, success factors). Training: Own Learning Plan and ensure training is kept current, share specialist skills and information gained through experience. Undertake further training as appropriate, to enhance current craft skills and assist in the training of new personnel when necessary. Performance management: Constantly participates in the Performance Management processes about the setting of objectives and the development and the implementation of a personal development plan. Minimum Qualification: Job holder should have completed a recognized apprenticeship and obtained a NVQ Level 3, ONC or HNC qualification in the mechanical discipline. Additional Preferences: It is preferred that the individual will hold or work towards VCAT-I (Vibration Analysis) Qualification as a minimum requirement of the post (Within six months). The Job holder should be prepared to progress these formal qualifications and work towards VCAT -II and potentially VCAT-III in the future.
