Pertemps Kettering are recruiting on behalf of our client who are looking for an Assistant Data Infrastructure Engineer. The role entails flexible working hours that require an early start daily and can sometimes include both evening and weekend work.
The Roles and Responsibilities can include:
1. Installing, servicing, and decommissioning educational and business audio-visual systems.
2. Installing and testing copper and fibre cabling solutions.
3. Installing and commissioning wireless network solutions.
4. Testing and terminating cables using a FLUKE tester.
5. Server rack installation, decant, relocation, and decommissioning.
6. Identifying and resolving cable errors/issues.
7. Installing and commissioning IP security and surveillance network solutions (i.e. CCTV systems).
8. Daily written processes such as site audit or survey documents, timesheets, expenses, etc., to be completed on time.
The Ideal Candidates would have:
1. Experience working as part of a team and individually.
2. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
3. Health and Safety Qualifications/Awareness.
4. Cabling Qualifications (Training would be provided).
5. Site experience CSCS/ECS Card (Training would be provided).
6. IPAF/PASMA Certification (Training would be provided).
7. Full UK Driving Licence (an advantage).
8. Asbestos Awareness/Working at Heights/Manual Handling Certification (Training would be provided).
You must be willing to learn and develop your abilities working as an assistant engineer for approximately 3 years.
