Job summary Domestic Assistants support the Trust in delivering a clean and safe environment for both service users and staff. We are looking for an enthusiastic Domestic Assistant to join our Facilities Team in the Facilities Department at Clatterbridge Hospital, Wirral. Successful candidates will receive full training and a uniform will be provided. You will be required to work as part of a team and be flexible within your working approach e.g. cover for annual leave and sickness. Previous experience in a domestic or catering environment would be advantageous, if not training will be provided. The Trust currently supports the Real Living Wage (RLW) hourly rate as set by the Living Wage Federation and will apply a pay supplement if the national A4C hourly rate falls below this. This is a permanent part time position, 15 hours per week. 10:30-13:30, Monday - Friday. Main duties of the job 1. To be responsible for cleaning all areas in accordance with the NPSA national standards ofcleanliness, following the approved CWP cleaning schedule and to adjust work routine if required forthe needs of the ward / department.2. To be accountable for cleaning all areas in accordance with C.O.S.H.H. regulations.3. To be accountable for collecting daily rubbish and taking it to designated area.4. To undertake the washing up of mealtime dishes for patients.5. To be responsible for opening up or closing buildings as appropriate - this would only be inexceptional circumstances and with prior discussion.6. To be responsible for informing Porters / security or any security breaches if building is empty.7. To be accountable for ordering cleaning materials as and when required with your supervisor.8. To be responsible for keeping all equipment used in connection with duties in a clean and tidycondition.9. To be responsible for bringing to the attention of the domestic supervisor, all faults on equipment.10. To provide details of any untoward incident to administrative / senior nursing staff.
