About the role Temporary Full-time opportunity (5-year contract). In the exciting role of Organisational Transformation Project Manager, you will help deliver the biggest transformational change to the organisation's Enterprise Resource Planning technology solutions that Penrith City Council has undergone internally in over 20 years. This is a major transformational project that will see business processes improved and modernised, with the assistance of a contemporary Enterprise Resource Planning system. Community, Customer and Employee experience is at the heart of this change, which will deliver an efficient, effective, and seamless end to end business process. The technology solution(s) chosen will enable Council to sustainably provide service delivery to the community now and into the future. This is not only a software upgrade but a major process and cultural change project, which will only succeed by putting our people first. You will be supported by the Head of Business Excellence, along with the ERP Project Control Group consisting of our Chief Information Officer, Chief Financial Officer and the Project Sponsor – Director Corporate Services. This project is classified as a Tier One project under Penrith City Council’s Project Management Framework, meaning visibility and reporting to the Executive Leadership Team on a monthly basis. You will lead a team focused on the successful delivery of the project, consisting of Change and Process specialists, IT experts and subject matter experts throughout the business. Initially, you will lead the tender process for the software platform while project planning and preparing the organisation for the change, before diving into project delivery. Essential Criteria Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Business, Computer Systems, or relevant field Proven project management experience in leading and delivering large, complex projects comprising process, people, data and systems transformation, using both agile and traditional project management methodologies Previous experience in implementing large scale transformation projects Diverse and proven experience managing vendors, including holding to enterprise-level delivery practices and outcomes Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills including excellent visual presentation, verbal and written communication skills, the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to all levels of executives/management and staff, and interact in both functional and technical areas Tenacity to bring a 'can do’ delivery attitude coupled with ability to lead, coach and support cross-functional project teams to work through challenges Desirable Criteria Extensive previous experience in enterprise/large-scale, end-to-end delivery of ERP systems such as Finance Systems, HRMIS Commencing Salary: Attractive salary to be negotiated based on applicants skill level and experience.
