The Fremantle Trust has an opportunity for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team on a relief basis, based at our residential care home service in Gerrards Cross.
Mulberry Court was purpose-built to provide a high-quality and safe environment for older people. It is one of The Fremantle Trust’s smaller care homes with 23 boutique-style rooms located over two floors. The modern décor stylishly blends traditional and contemporary style, to create a relaxed, comfortable home. Each room is beautifully furnished and has an en-suite bathroom. The communal areas are modern, bright and include a lounge, dining room and kitchenette on both floors. The enclosed landscaped garden invites residents and visitors to take in the fresh air or participate in activities in a safe and stimulating setting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the preparation of meals, snacks, beverages as requested by your Line Manager or the Duty Manager.
2. Ensure that kitchens providing meals for people who use Fremantle’s services are maintained and cleaned to an excellent standard and in accordance with the cleaning schedules.
3. Record cleaning and maintenance tasks in accordance with the Food Safety Procedures and as directed by line manager.
4. Provide a high standard of safety in the appropriate storage of food products and in the use and storage of cleaning products.
5. Involve people who use services in the tasks of domestic living by talking with them respectfully and appropriately.
6. Report any concerns immediately for the well-being of people who use services to a care worker colleague.
7. Ensure that day-to-day tasks and routines are carried out to contribute to the smooth running of the service as a whole.
8. Actively promote the service and Fremantle by clear, respectful and helpful communication with all potential customers including people who use services, relatives, health and social care professionals, other officials and contractors, visitors as well as Fremantle colleagues.
9. Contribute to the success of the whole staff team by respecting colleagues and participating in team meetings and communications systems.
10. Any other duties consistent with the business of Fremantle, the job, and hours of work as may reasonably be required.
