Founded in 2017 with a mission to stop criminals acting with impunity on the dark web, we have been involved in some of the world’s largest dark web investigations and have the most comprehensive dataset based on proprietary techniques and ground-breaking academic research. Today we help government and law enforcement, enterprises, and managed security services providers around the world to illuminate deep and dark web threats and prevent attacks. ABOUT THE POSITION This is a new and exciting opportunity for an adaptable, calm and organised HR professional to put their skills and expertise into practice. As the business continues to grow, we have identified a need for a dedicated HR Officer to manage all recruitment and selection, employee records, employee performance and relations etc. As the first HR professional to join our team, we require this person to have a comprehensive understanding of employment law and best practices. The ability to remain calm under pressure and strong communication skills will be essential to succeed in this role. A high level of discretion is also required, to ensure sensitive matters are handled accordingly. This is a part time role, based at our Head Office in Portsmouth, we're anticipating 25-30 hours per week. WHAT WILL I DO? Recruitment and on-boarding process: Administer the recruitment process and ensure that it is followed and records are maintained properly. This will include supporting the Talent Manager with scheduling interviews, employment contracts, pre-employment checks, on-boarding and inductions. Performance management: Maintaining personal development review records and assisting line managers with performance issues, ensuring a fair and consistent approach. Employee records: Maintain accurate personnel records for all employees, contractors or EORs including contractual changes, management of skilled worker sponsorship and visa checks, and team specific vetting. Training support: Provide guidance and produce training materials for line managers on HR topics and regulation changes. Policy development: Maintain multiple staff handbooks for each region and work closely with line managers to enforce company policies. Compensation and benefits: Salary bench-marking, ensuring that employees are paid fairly and receive the benefits they are entitled to. Compliance: keep up to date with employment legislation reforms and update internal policies/procedures accordingly. Reporting: This includes internal reporting such as recruitment against budget, headcount, turnover, holiday, sickness etc. As well as regulatory reporting, as and when the business meets the criteria for pay gap reporting and annual modern slavery statements etc. Health and safety: Working closely with the Operations Manager to ensure a safe work environment. Employee liaison: Assisting management with the grievance and disciplinary processes, and organising annual staff events/team building. Responding to any employee concerns or queries. Off-boarding: Including acknowledging resignations, overseeing and ensuring that all off-boarding tasks assigned to other departments are complete, and coordinating the return of company property. Payroll: Assisting the Finance department by collating pay rises and changes into a monthly report. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? A comprehensive understanding of employment legislation to ensure that the business meets all of its obligations and remains up to date with any reforms. CIPD Foundation qualification or higher is ideal. Proven ability to resolve conflicts in the workplace, such as harassment, pay disputes or health & safety issues as and when they arise. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with people and business partners. Strong organisational skills to manage tasks to set deadlines. A high level of discretion to ensure sensitive matters are handled accordingly. Adaptable and the ability to remain composed in order to manage change and unpredictability. WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?
