Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust
An exciting opportunity has become available for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join CNTW Eating Disorder Team and work across the Provider Collaborative.
The Provider Collaborative for Adult Eating Disorders covers North East and North Cumbria, including inpatient units and intensive day services in CNTW and TEWV.
MEED guidelines were published in 2022 by RCPsych, the first definitive guideline for assessment and management of patients presenting with medical risk due to eating disorders. Recommendations include setting up local MEED oversight groups to jointly develop pathways and policies to ensure safe and effective treatment.
Implementation of these recommendations has been dependent on local interest and resources and is therefore inconsistent across the North East and North Cumbria. This is the first dedicated role to be funded for this purpose in this region.
