The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Account Handler to join our credit insurance team. In this role, you will support Account Executives in delivering exceptional service to clients, manage day-to-day policy administration, and assist with claims and renewals. You’ll be a key point of contact for clients and insurers, ensuring smooth communication and accurate, timely handling of all account matters.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support Account Executives with day-to-day servicing of credit insurance policies.
2. Liaise with clients and underwriters regarding credit limits, policy coverage, and claims.
3. Manage and maintain client records and documentation with high accuracy.
4. Assist in preparing renewal documentation and gathering underwriting information.
5. Handle mid-term adjustments and endorsements on existing policies.
6. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely resolution of client queries.
7. Prepare and review policy documentation, schedules, and correspondence.
8. Monitor and follow up on outstanding credit limits and overdue accounts.
9. Provide administrative support in relation to client meetings and presentations.
10. Maintain compliance with internal procedures, FCA regulations, and data protection laws.
Skills & Experience Required
1. Experience in credit insurance, trade finance, or a related financial services field (desirable)
2. Strong understanding of credit risk, financial documentation, and insurance principles.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
5. Client-focused with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
8. Familiarity with credit insurance platforms and insurer portals (desirable).
