We are recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant to join a well-established business in Harrogate. You will be responsible for the purchasing of service department parts ensuring customer timescale demands are met and stock is utilised effectively. If you have purchase experience and an interest in buying, this could be a superb opportunity. In return our client is offering a salary of £26,000 p/a. This is working Monday – Friday, 9am- 5pm.
Responsibilities:
• Negotiate best prices and deals for supply of service parts
• Update parts price lists regularly
• Raise purchase orders
• Liaise with suppliers ensuring any operational or service issues (regarding products or suppliers) are resolved in a timely manner
• Supplier relationship management
• Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure deliveries are on time and to cost
• Assist in maintaining accurate stock control information
• Expedite and challenge any overdue purchase orders
• Maintain ISO9001 accreditation
Requirements:
• Experience In Purchasing or stock control
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Competent on MS Packages
• Promote a teamwork approach where benefits to delivery can be achieved.
• Attend and positively contribute to meetings as required
• Build and maintain relationships with various departments across the business.
