Job summary Welcome to FCMS We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wound Care Nurse (Non Medical Prescriber) to join our North Lancashire Wound Care Service team. This is a 12 Months Fixed Term Contract with Full and Part time hours available Pay: £23.61 - £27.01 per hour depending on experience with enhanced pay for weekends and bank holidays Base: Working in clinics across Lancaster and Morecambe Main duties of the job The post holder will undertake wound assessments and treatment for patients with both simple and complex wounds. Patients who will be referred to this service will be the following types: -Post operative including suture and staple removal -Leg Ulcer may require doppler -Post trauma skin tears, self-harm -Cavity Wounds -Burns -Patient education including nutrition in relation to wound healing and scar management There is an expectation to refer to the wider community team if required, support Senior clinicians and HCAs and attend meetings when required. The post holder will help promote the service and implement change as requested from the ICB.
