Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tutor to join our team at Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and supporting students in GCSE and Functional Skills in Maths, as well as contributing to the development of our maths curriculum.
About the Role
As a Senior Tutor, you will be working with students of varying abilities and ages, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their academic goals. You will also be involved in the planning and delivery of maths lessons, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for further study or employment.
Key Responsibilities
* To teach GCSE and Functional Skills in Maths to students of varying abilities and ages.
* To develop and implement effective maths lesson plans, ensuring that students receive a challenging and engaging education.
* To provide individualised support and guidance to students, helping them to overcome any difficulties they may be experiencing.
* To contribute to the development of our maths curriculum, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Person Specification
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
* Experience of teaching maths to students of varying abilities and ages.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
* The ability to plan and deliver effective maths lessons, using a range of teaching strategies to engage students and promote learning.
* An understanding of the maths curriculum and the ability to make recommendations for improvements.
Benefits
As a Senior Tutor at Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group, you can expect to receive a competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on your experience. You will also be entitled to a range of benefits, including employer pension contributions and a Golden Hello payment of up to £5,000 or a DfE bursary of up to £6,000.
