Our client is currently seeking a Domain Architect to join their IT Architecture team. This permanent role involves delivering end-to-end high-level designs for technology changes, ensuring they align with business drivers and benefits within the domain of Capital Delivery. The Domain Architect will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating functional needs into scalable, secure, and cost-effective architectural blueprints. Key Responsibilities: Shape initiatives, conduct options analysis, and provide estimates during the pre-project phase. Deliver architectural services across multiple projects and major programmes, including architectural assessments, high-level design, and options analysis. Evaluate technology products and vendors to deliver systems that provide business value. Create end-to-end high-level designs, ensuring stakeholder buy-in and compliance with QA and governance processes. Identify architectural risks and issues, and ensure that all parties are well-informed during the design phase. Provide design assurance by working with delivery and engineering teams, overseeing QA of detailed designs, and addressing any issues that arise during delivery. Act as a trusted advisor to both business and technical teams, offering advice and guidance. Run programme design authority meetings for major programmes and guide decisions and actions. Job Requirements: Experience in a similar Domain / Solution Architect role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with significant stakeholder engagement experience. Collaborative approach, especially across domains and digital functions. Ability to assess complex business and technical requirements. Capacity to design scalable, sustainable, and future-proof architectures, end-to-end. Experience working in both waterfall and agile environments.
