Are you a Science graduate eager to start a career in secondary education? Teaching Personnel’s Future Teachers Graduate Scheme provides a paid, structured pathway into teaching, offering invaluable classroom experience before progressing to a PGCE or Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme.
About the Programme
This 12-month internship is designed for graduates passionate about teaching who want to gain first-hand school experience before enrolling in formal teacher training. As a Cover Supervisor, you will support students and teachers, developing essential skills for a future in education.
Programme Details:
* Start Date: September 2025 (immediate starts available)
* Location: Secondary schools across Greater Manchester (Manchester, Stockport, Salford, Trafford, Bury, Bolton, Rochdale, and Oldham)
* Eligibility: Open to graduates with a degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) or a related subject who are considering a career in teaching.
Your Role as a Future Teacher:
Through the Future Teachers Programme, you will gain hands-on experience in a Science department, taking on key responsibilities such as:
* Supporting students to improve their understanding and attainment in Science.
* Delivering small group tuition and one-on-one support.
* Assisting with lesson planning, preparation, and classroom management.
* Covering classes and contributing to a positive learning environment.
This experience will give you invaluable insight into the teaching profession, enhance your subject knowledge, and build your confidence in the classroom.
