Position: School Business Manager (Part-Time)
Location: Various Primary Schools in and around Colchester
Hours: 3 days a week, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay: GBP21 per hour (Temporary Basis)
Type: Temporary to Permanent
About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Business Manager to join our team, working across several primary schools in the Colchester area. This role is initially offered on a temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
* Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and policies.
* Manage school administrative functions and support services.
* Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies to support school operations.
* Implement and monitor health and safety policies.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Business Manager in a school, local government, or NHS setting.
* Strong understanding of local authority procedures and regulations.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
* Commitment to supporting the educational environment and school community.
* Experience of payroll
* Experience of managing budgets
* Experience of finding cost cutting solutions
* Clean driving licence and a car
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in a similar role within the education sector.
* Familiarity with financial software and school management systems.
