Responsibilities for a Teacher of Maths: Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum. Teach students across Key Stages, fostering a love for Mathematics and promoting academic progress. Assess, monitor, and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and growth. Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies. Support students in preparing for exams and achieving their academic goals. Promote a positive classroom culture, setting high expectations for behaviour and learning. Engage in school-wide activities and contribute to the overall success of the Maths department. Maths Teacher Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification, such as QTLS or PGCE, is essential. A degree in Mathematics or a related field is required. Proven experience teaching Maths in secondary schools is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum and effective teaching methodologies. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, parents, and staff. To thrive in this role, you should: Have the right to work in the UK.
