The job
You will be responsible for the analysis of the payroll and financial activities of the organisation for efficiency, data quality and contributing towards the organisation’s financial growth.
Responsibilities
* Deliver payroll financial support by reviewing and certifying payroll financial records globally for completeness and accuracy upon completion by the country payroll processors.
* Perform variance analyses at the global level and then work with the regional payroll teams to inspect at the individual employee level to verify accuracy and support payment approvals.
* Review and reconcile compliance filings, plan and execute on year-end processes.
* Coordinate with Treasury to ensure that funding requirements are properly supported and communicated on a timely basis and in compliance with established and pre-agreed timelines.
* Support country payroll processors with general ledger entries troubleshooting where necessary to ensure GLs are delivered within tight timeframes.
* Respond to queries from People Leadership Team, Financial Accounting and Reporting, and Business Planning and Analysis teams regarding postings to the P&L and Balance sheet.
* Partner with key stakeholders to reduce risk by evaluating, researching, and resolving complex compliance or long-term operational challenges.
* Support regional heads with audits including controls self-assessments.
* Identify management control weaknesses and provide value-added suggestions for remediation working to ensure proper controls are put in place optimizing globally nuanced at local levels where needed.
* Interact and cooperate well cross-functionally, particularly building strong working relationships between People Services and Finance teams in addition to across our vendor landscape where needed.
* Provide data and analysis for use in compensation studies and surveys.
* Assist regional teams in any financial compliance and regulatory requests.

* Accuracy and completeness of process documentation, records, and financial entries.
* Adherence with departmental KPI’s.
* Work requests responded to and completed within agreed timescales.
* Facilitation of audits and reviews within agreed timescales.
* Accurate and timely guidance and advice.
* Proactive identification and resolution of inaccuracies and processing issues, including root cause analysis of issues.

* Confident using the full Microsoft Office package including Excel, Teams, and Sharepoint.
* Strong organisational skills.

* Demonstrated ability in payroll processing, financial analysis, management, and control.
