Qualifications
Essential criteria
* Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy
* Professional Registration with the Health Professions Council
* Evidence of postgraduate education in specialist clinical area
* Evidence of continued professional development appropriate to role
Desirable criteria
* Membership of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
* Membership of appropriate Special Interest Group(s)
* Accreditation for Clinical education
* Masters level in relevant area or willingness to work towards
Experience
Essential criteria
* Significant experience working at Band 6/7 level in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy including substantial NHS experience
* Experience of supervising, teaching and appraising junior staff and students
* Clinical governance including quality, audit, outcome measures and training
* Experience in implementing change of clinical practice or process
Desirable criteria
* Experience of working in both acute and community settings
* Experience in managing complaints
* Leading teams
Knowledge
Essential criteria
* Knowledge of the NHS and of the structure, roles and responsibilities of outside agencies e.g. Social Services
* Research awareness
* Wide ranging knowledge of MSK Physiotherapy
* Understanding of relevant legislation
* Knowledge of up to date clinical practice and current issues relating to the profession
Desirable criteria
* Research involvement

* Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise and work under pressure to meet deadlines
