SEND School Support Staff (Primary aged children)
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join a dynamic SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) school, working with primary children who have a range of complex needs and may display challenging behaviours. This full-time, temporary-to-permanent position will specifically involve supporting a child with complex needs, who exhibits challenging behaviour and has very limited communication. The ideal candidate will be resilient, skilled in behaviour management, and ready to make a meaningful impact in young lives.
Position: SEND School Support Staff
Salary: £84 per day, 8:30 - 3:45 pm
Job Type: Full Time, Temp to Perm
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of SEND and complex needs.
2. Assist in managing challenging behaviour in line with school policies and strategies.
3. Develop trusting relationships with students, helping them to engage in their learning and achieve their full potential.
4. Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to create tailored learning plans.
5. Support the social and emotional development of students, promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
6. Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, addressing any safeguarding concerns in line with school policies.

1. Experience working with children who have SEND needs or in a similar role (e.g. behavioural support).
