OVERVIEW
A highly ranked Legal 500 firm is looking for newly qualified Real Estate Solicitor to assist the partner in complex, high quality files, predominantly consisting of agricultural property.
You will have the flexibility you need to accommodate life outside of the office; most of the staff go in once a week to touch base, but you are welcome to go in more if this is what you prefer. As long as you maintain a high standard of client care and attend to clients' needs, the firm understands that presence in the office is not always necessary.
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage your own varied caseload of Residential & Commercial property transactions, including sales, purchases, transfers of equity, and landlord and tenant matters.
2. Support partners on high-quality conveyancing and agricultural property transactions, including the sale and purchase of farms, estates, and rural land, with full training provided.
3. Mentor and train paralegals or trainee solicitors, developing your leadership skills.
4. Draft and review a range of rural property contracts, including farm business tenancy agreements and grazing licences, with support from the Partner and the wider team.
5. Liaise with a wide range of clients, including farmers, landowners, agents, surveyors, and local authorities, ensuring transactions progress efficiently and deadlines are met.
6. Undertake due diligence, reviewing Land Registry titles, rights of way, easements, and environmental restrictions to ensure smooth and compliant transactions.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
1. Qualified Solicitor or equivalent within residential and/or Commercial Property.
2. Ability to manage your own caseload of conveyancing transactions.
3. Prior experience working with agricultural property is ideal, or a strong interest in developing skills in this niche.
4. Strong academics, proficient IT skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
