Your new school
I am working alomgside a friendly and welcoming primary school in South Bristol looking for an experienced, enthusiastic teaching assisatnt to join their team as soon as possible, working full-time in and out of the classroom with a multitude of pupils, specialising in carrying out interventions and working with lower attaining children, helping children throughout the entirety of primary school. You will be working with an amazing team of teachers, teaching assistants and support staff alike.
Your new role
In this Teaching Assistant position, you will play a key role in the classroom, supporting group activities and providing one-on-one assistance to students who require additional help outside of lessons. This may involve delivering targeted interventions in areas such as numeracy, literacy, or phonics, so expertise in these subjects is highly valued. Additionally, the role encompasses ensuring the safety and well-being of the children while fostering their educational development and overall growth.
About you:
Must be confident in demonstrating appropriate skills,
Recent child-based experience,
Experience of working in a primary school is desirable but not essential,
Experience of working with children with SEND is desirable but not essential,
Be able to use your own initiative and be proactive in carrying out tasks,

This assignment is temporary to start with but has the potential to go permanent after 20 weeks of being placed (based on school requirements).

Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £38, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
