Mears provides temporary accommodation to asylum seekers whilst their claim is being assessed in three regions: Northeast, Yorkshire and Humber, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. At the end of May 2021, Mears had over 19,000 service users across the three regions. Mears works in partnership with central and local Government, registered providers, tenants, landlords, and investors to find solutions to homelessness, provide more social and affordable housing, and create specialist housing for people with care needs.
About the Role:
As a Facilities Operative within our Darlington branch, you will work within the Housing team delivering a range of services to our clients, including Hard, Soft, and Grounds Maintenance services. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all or a combination of maintenance, compliance, cleaning, and grounds tasks are completed. The main roles include checking and fixing emergency lights, fire alarm systems, smoke alarms, and legionella. Within this role, there may be some pat testing where required.
Role Criteria:
* Experience with fire alarms and emergency lighting
* Working within a similar role
* Social housing experience
* Team player and ability to work alone
