Due to significant growth, we are looking for a Laboratory Registrar to join our team. This is an on-site role in our Capenhurst office (CH1 6ES).
Main responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the efficient running of the “front of house” for the oil diagnostics laboratory.
2. Organisation of the “front of house” work and liaising with the laboratory staff.
3. Ensure fast and accurate oil sample registration and client receipt processing meeting associated KPIs.
4. Inform the analysts of priority and urgent samples as soon as they are notified or received in the laboratory.
5. Liaising and informing clients of issues with sample bottles, labels and shipments.
6. Accurate data entry such as sample information, client oil sample history, shipment information etc.
7. Arranging sample collections and dispatch logistics with online courier system and clients.
8. Sample bottle processing, bottle cleaning, packing of sample crates and stock control.
9. Control stock levels, arrange purchase requisitions and liaise with suppliers as required to maintain Supplier Register.
10. Managing incoming laboratory calls, liaising with clients and directing enquiries to the relevant personnel.
What we’ll need from you:
1. Practical experience in a similar role is preferable but strong administrative skills are key.
2. Excellent working understanding of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Access.
3. An understanding of Health & Safety regulations, COSHH requirements, ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 operational practices would be a distinct advantage.
4. Highly self-motivated individual with an aptitude to learn.
5. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are essential.
6. Understanding of manual handling processes.
7. Ability to follow detailed operating procedures and manage delivery of tasks.
8. Understanding of oil filled high voltage electrical assets is preferable.
9. Practical understanding of analytical equipment would be advantageous.
10. Minimum GCSE in Maths and English is required.
