We are looking for a Purchase & Sales Ledger Officer to join our team in Derby.
Working as a Purchase & Sales Ledger Officer you will be responsible for the control and maintenance of the associated documentation and ensuring the quality and integrity of supporting information. To initiate, monitor and report on project expenditure, and ensure cost saving practices are identified, carried out and adhered to.
What you'll do:
1. Assisting with the production of budgetary information by various means, on committed order values, actual invoice amounts, labour expenditure and budget/actual order amounts. Including invoicing, debt reconciliation and age input data.
2. Ensure planned expenditure against works orders, worksheets, PPM and process Subcontractor payment certificates to ensure costs are correct and accounted for, including the logging of expenditure.
3. Involvement in procurement procedures and processing of incoming invoices and payments, in accordance with the relevant contract documentation.
4. Prioritise workload to ensure compliance with company accounting procedures.
5. Preparation and submission of monthly project billings and variations to the client.
6. Produce and submission of monthly project billing and variations.
What you'll bring to the role:
1. NVQ3, BTEC Business Finance & AAT Intermediate Certificate.
2. Must have proven experience of invoicing / procurement procedures in a finance setting.
3. Able to use ERP data base and associated software programmes.
4. Must possess keyboard skills and a good knowledge of computers and numeracy skills.
5. Capable of producing monthly accounts information for the management team.
