Are you a PQS Quantity Surveyor seeking a move clientside?
A UK leading developer and investor are expanding their development team with the additional hire of a PQS Quantity Surveyor. Established over 30 years ago, they have built up a national portfolioprising; student amodation, residential,mercial and educational buildings. With a strong agenda for further development, they are looking to bolster their development team with additional hires. You will be joining long standing highly successful team in their Liverpool office.
They pride themselves on being a market leading real estate investment and property management businesses, having successfullypleted over a billion £ to date with an additional £1bn under management.
This is a rare client-side opportunity within a highly successful Liverpool office working closely with the business owners.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Development Director, you will be responsible for running your own projects, which will be a mix of high rise developments and grade-listed renovations. Main duties of the role include:
1. Cost assessments of potential residential opportunities.
2. Establishing project budgets and managing project cost plans through topletion and final accounts.
3. Overallmercial responsibility for on-site schemes, value engineering, dispute resolution and cost control.
4. Contributing towards tender, managing contractors and supply chain relationships.
5. Advising on JCT design and build contracts; retentions, bonds, warranties etc.
The role will require someone to be office based 5 days a week with flexible working hours (start and finish times).
What you'll need to succeed
The successful clientside PQS Quantity Surveyor will have a proven background in supporting development teams working within a consultancy/clientside environment. You must be a strongmunicator; able to build relationships, capable of presenting in meetings, influential with teams and stakeholders.
6. MRICS qualification is highly desirable but not essential.
7. Ability to travel throughout the UK with a full driving licence is essential.
