An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced museums professional to take the curatorial lead to promote and support the development of the curation and interpretation of the internationally important Designated modern and contemporary art collection at Norwich Castle, through specialist knowledge of and responsibility for the collection.
The postholder will lead on the promotion of this collection nationally and internationally through temporary exhibitions, commissions, permanent displays, acquisitions, enquiries, research, publications and access, to make the collection accessible to the public, other institutions, researchers and students.
Along with a specialist knowledge of modern and contemporary art, the successful candidate will bring to the post experience and enthusiasm for managing projects and working with a wide range of external partners and stakeholders, local and national. You will be self-starting, with excellent collections management, administrative and communication skills, and a commitment to promoting diversity in acquisitions and exhibitions.
