Job summary We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our friendly team at Princess Royal Hospital (PRH). You will be working with a small team of dietitians and a support worker to help deliver an excellent service by supporting registered staff. No previous Dietitians Assistant Practitioner (DAP) experience is needed as training and competencies will be provided. We are hoping for 5 short days which could be family friendly but this is negotiable for the right candidate. PRH is a friendly, district general hospital that is part of the large University Hospitals Sussex Trust. It is in the leafy town of Haywards Heath which is on the edge of the Southdowns, has great schools and good links to London and Brighton Main duties of the job To support the registered dietitians in providing a quality dietetic service to inpatients, outpatients and group teaching sessions. To assist dietitians in the review of patients, face to face and via telephone. To deliver on elements of delegated dietetic care within agreed scope of practice under the supervision of a dietitian. To provide non-clinical support to the dietitians, e.g. maintaining department resources, inputting of data, general admin duties, filling home enteral feed forms. Cover workload of other dietetic support workers, e.g. during leave.
