Frontline Recruitment Derby Limited have a new vacancy for a Production Supervisor to be a key member of our client's small but fast-growing business located on the outskirts of Derby. Working on short production runs of items ranging from small electronic components to large complex cable cutters, the Production Supervisor manages production operators and will follow process instructions, health and safety guidance and exacting quality standards to build high quality products within tight deadlines, supplying products Worldwide. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, pro-active and capable candidate with a confident approach to join a niche engineering firm Responsibilities The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the production processes deliver quality products in a timely manner. Managing all day-to-day manufacturing activities. Providing direct supervision and leadership to the team, allocating work, and communicating any issues, progress, and achievements to the team. Anticipate, analyse, and diagnose production problems to coordinate corrective actions. Continuous assessment and improvement of processes, efficiency, utilisation, and productivity. Maintaining compliance with all regulations including Health & Safety and Company rules and procedures Reporting to: Operations Manager Main Job Tasks To manufacture and assemble the entire range of products Ensuring that production processes are in line with company and regulatory requirements. Accurately completing all necessary documentation for regulatory compliance. Informing a production team of preferred occupational health and safety practices. Communicating expectations to production team members and evaluating their performance. Implementing relevant emergency response procedures during emergency situations. Regularly checking the machinery and checkpoints to ensure safe and efficient workflow. Compiling reports about production and providing management with updates. Managing the repair or replacement of faulty production equipment. Ensuring all resources and assets are used efficiently and correctly.
