Job summary As part of the Transport team, to carry out all the duties associated with the provision of a comprehensive delivery service, especially to drive delivery vehicles and carry out delivery schedules and complete all relevant paperwork. Also, ensuring that the vehicles are kept clean, roadworthy, tidy and properly maintained. Main duties of the job To ensure that daily routine vehicle checks are undertaken and recorded including oil, water, tyres etc, any faults reported so they can be rectified and adhering to relevant transport regulations; To complete the vehicle log sheet after each use. Be responsible for the security and safety of loads carried. Be responsible for the cleanliness of the vehicle, including the clean-up of any spillages. To undertake all daily deliveries and collections of pathology specimens, mail, consumables etc within the departmental working hours (currently 06:30 - 20:00). To ensure all equipment is secured using the appropriate equipment. To ensure the safe delivery of any pharmacy, Chemotherapy and controlled drugs to authorised personnel and that a signature is obtained. To undertaken relevant training as proscribed by management.
