About rePLANET
rePLANET ( is a purpose-driven company committed to unlocking private sector finance into the restoration and protection of nature at a global scale. Our business currently falls into two main areas: (1) we develop and manage landscape-scale nature restoration projects, funding them through carbon and biodiversity credits, with a market-leading commitment to reinvesting at least 60% of project income into local communities, and (2) we advise corporate clients on integrating nature-positive solutions into their supply chains and support other developers in tackling key environmental challenges.
Founded by scientists in 2021, rePLANET has rapidly built a reputation as one of the most innovative actors in this space. Our expertise is in high demand worldwide, and we’re now scaling our operations to meet that demand. This is an exciting period of growth, and we’re looking for an experienced and visionary HR Manager to help support us through this transformative journey. As the first HR specialist in our team, you’ll have the unique opportunity to build our HR function from the ground up and make a lasting impact on an ambitious start-up dedicated to combating climate change and nature loss.
We are currently a fully-remote team of 25 full-time staff, primarily based in the UK but with a growing presence in Latin America and longer-term global ambitions. Our diverse team includes academic researchers, finance experts and technical specialists, with many holding PhDs in their relevant disciplines. Candidates should feel comfortable working effectively across such a wide range of expertise.
About the Role
As our HR Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of rePLANET. This is a hands-on, stand-alone position ideal for a self-starter who thrives in the dynamic environment of a start-up. * Resolve Challenges: Manage disciplinary and grievance cases with professionalism and care.
* Strengthen Leadership Skills: Identify training needs and capacity gaps, offering tailored development solutions for our managers.
* Navigate Global HR Complexities: Support our growing international workforce with insights into employment law and payroll across multiple regions.
