Leek First School is part of the Talentum Learning Trust and is situated in the East of Leek. Our children range from 4 to 9 years of age. The school has a long and proud association with the town and our building having first opened its doors in 1914, despite its age, has been updated to meet the demands of 21st century Britain. We have a supportive and welcoming staff team, including a support from the Trust Central team. We are recruiting for a skilled School Support Manager and Clerk to the Governors. This is a critical role in the operation of our school and; with the support of the Trust Central Team, includes responsibility for: •HR management for all school staff •oversight of all school office processes and procedures •governance and Compliance including Single Central Record •Budget setting and financial monitoring •support to Senior Leadership Team and Governors We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has the passion and energy to work in our busy school team. Most importantly, you will help drive on the school's vision, values and ethos, and develop a cohesive and committed office team that serves all pupils and staff. You will need to have excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills and be fully proficient in the use of a variety of IT systems including Microsoft. A knowledge of Abor Education would be beneficial but not essential. We are a forward-thinking team and require an individual who can drive and support change with the ability to take on ad hoc school projects You will need to be able to form positive relationships with our children, staff, parents, governors, and visitors. You will need to be flexible, with a willingness to work across all aspects of the school, responding to priorities and problem solving as required and ideally the successful candidate will have a knowledge of: •Early Education Funding Claims •Site Management including asset management Health and Safety •Generating income from alternative funding streams •Governance support including clerking skills Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged as our children are our best advert.
