Transport patients anywhere in hospital using wheelchairs, trolleys and/or beds Transportation of oxygen and other gas cylinders to other departments. Move mattresses, trolleys and beds, complying with Trust manual handling techniques Move dirty laundry and replace with clean linen Collect/deliver medications and samples to/from pharmacy/wards/departments Carry out all waste management functions as requested Use electric tugs to move food trolleys and heavy equipment around the site Move equipment safely throughout the hospital Move office furniture and equipment Ensuring that correct and safe methods of work are employed at all times with extra care shown to the safety of patients, staff and visitors. Assist in the delivery of meals and drinks to patients under the care of the unit Checking of equipment prior to use to ensure all faults are reported to the supervisor as they develop. Reporting any accidents / dangerous occurrences to the Supervisors and participating in the completion of all related accident documentation. Attend relevant statutory and non-statutory training. Carry out duties in accordance with departmental training and Trust policies and codes of practice. Completion of timesheets and work logs / schedules or other attendance system as required.
