The Safe and Effective Care Lead will provide expert leadership in clinical quality management, patient safety, patient experience, and clinical effectiveness across Nimbuscare's clinical services. The role involves ensuring compliance with national and local policies, conducting audits, and meeting regulatory requirements related to clinical quality performance. The postholder will facilitate access to reliable clinical quality information, promote improved clinical standards, and enhance patient experiences. Additionally, the role includes coordinating risk management and ensuring effective clinical governance systems aligned with Nimbuscare's standards.
Main duties of the job
* Clinical Leadership:
o Provide clear, visible leadership and support for Nimbuscare's clinical contracts.
o Collaborate with the Associate Director of Governance to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective care.
o Lead the risk management process and foster a culture of appropriate risk escalation.
o Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national standards and access targets.
* Service Development and Improvement:
o Identify trends and opportunities for service improvement related to patient safety and experience.
o Develop and coordinate policies and processes to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory bodies (e.g., CQC, NHSE/I, CCG).
o Work with Operational Service Managers to identify and address areas for service improvement, including capacity and demand.
o Monitor and report on the implementation of improvement plans following assessments.
* Clinical Governance and Compliance:
o Implement and embed Nimbuscare's Patient Safety Incident Response Plan and the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework.
o Ensure effective systems of internal control and clinical governance.
o Coordinate regular audits and reviews of clinical practices with Nimbuscare's audit team.
o Prepare Nimbuscare Services for peer reviews and other inspections.

* Clinical qualification with current registration (e.g., NMC, HPC).
