What the job involves As a Finance Officer in the Accounts Receivable Team, you will manage core service activities under supervision, resolving complex customer complaints within your expertise. You will facilitate efficient coordination with internal and external service providers while managing databases to support senior officers. Tasks include income collection from sales orders, liaising with customers, monitoring unpaid accounts, and processing them for write-off or legal recovery. Maintaining accuracy, you'll manage data for accounts receivable and submit claims related to insolvency. You'll assist with manager training for the Council's main accounts system and partake in investigations from performance reports, customer inquiries, and initiatives like the National Fraud Initiative. Developing the Accounts Receivable module and aiding new staff induction are part of your duties. Partnership working across both councils and engaging in workshops will be required. You will be key in inspiring your team by supporting the Shared Finance Service ambition to add value and inspire success, operating across two locations with the potential centralization at either LBS or RBK. Your role will involve interfacing directly with customers and developing partnerships with various service providers to enhance recovery and enforcement processes.
