Detailed description
Commitment: Flexible hours, primarily on weekends and event days.
Role Overview: As an Event Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the success of our local events. This position is perfect for enthusiastic individuals who enjoy engaging with the public and contributing to community-focused activities.
* Event Setup: Assisting with the setup of gazebos, stalls, and other event equipment.
* Stall Management: Looking after stalls, engaging with visitors, and selling goods.
* Public Engagement: Talking to people about the work of YMCA Taunton, the services we offer, and encouraging community involvement.
* Fundraising: Operating fun games or raffles to raise funds for YMCA Taunton's programs and initiatives.
* Membership Promotion: Providing information on and assisting with the creation of YMCA memberships.
* Event Takedown: Tidying up and ensuring all equipment is properly stored at the end of the day.
