A dynamic opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Product Assurance Engineer to join Electus Recruitment Solutions, driving quality excellence in the development and production phases of product life cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain project quality planning documentation, ensuring seamless execution of QA activities
* Maintain compliance with BMS procedures, guaranteeing top-notch quality standards
* Serve as the primary point of contact for Design (Project Chief Engineer & CDE) on hardware-related concerns at Bolton
* Act as External Customer for Product/Hardware Quality issues/concerns, fostering strong customer relationships
* Promote effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders through customer interface for on-site and off-site product acceptance activities
* Represent the project at Op's NCRP Level 1 & 2, ensuring high-quality deliverables
* Provide expert guidance and support as the Key Point of Contact for the Project PAM
* Represent the project at monthly Operations Management Certification Stamp Issuing Authority Meetings, maintaining excellent relations with key stakeholders
* Report any product escapes to external customers, upholding the highest level of transparency and accountability
* Ensure comprehensive product life cycle reviews are planned, executed, and actions addressed promptly
* Lead product non-conformance investigations and implement corrective actions, minimizing their impact
* Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to investigate defects, providing actionable insights for process improvements
* Analyze and summarize non-conformance data for major equipment and senior management reviews, highlighting trends and areas for improvement
* Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate quality risks and issues, enhancing customer satisfaction and reducing risk
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement by participating in process audits and suggesting compliance and process enhancement ideas
What We're Looking For:
* HNC/HND in Engineering or Quality Assurance is desirable, or equivalent work experience
* Ideal candidates possess a deep understanding of current QA problem-solving methods (8D, RCA, DMAIC, etc.)
* A high degree of self-motivation, autonomy, and ability to work proactively, with excellent organization, communication, and social skills
* A proven track record of inspiring change, respectful team-player, comfortable working within a matrix organization
* Strong analytical skills, proficiency in running reports in Excel, using SAP QM system, and Product Data and document management tools
* Awareness and initiative for continuous improvement, with a focus on delivering tangible results
* The ability to understand and respect cultural differences
About the Role:
This is a permanent position based in Stevenage, offering a competitive salary of £50,000 DOE, plus bonus opportunities.
