Job Description
As Plant Layout/Facilities Engineers, you will be joining a growing division of Segula, offering a large potential for personal growth within a consultancy that works with multiple customers and sectors. You will be responsible for the introduction of new facilities, materials product lines, and new/current vehicle freshening programs.
Your responsibilities include:
* Assessing feasibility of new facilities and processes, and developing and managing projects for cost, quality, and timing.
* Supporting the area by providing the required capability and capacity at the facilities and supporting equipment, aligned to the programme milestones, launch plans, and production requirements.
* Developing engineering solutions that are suited to the capabilities of appropriate facilities and their associated process characteristics as directed.
* Developing robust and lean layout solutions to support facility project delivery or process/operational efficiency improvements.
* Coordinating the support and input of all relevant stakeholders to achieve acceptance, buy-off, and successful handover of new or modified facilities.
* Working closely with Manufacturing and other Engineering disciplines across the company to deliver programs and facility projects to cost targets and timing.
* Managing facility documentation on the projects in line with Manufacturing Engineering procedures, supporting internal and external audits.
* Leading and participating in multifunctional New Equipment Procurement Teams through all project phases, ensuring company procurement procedures are met and adhered to.
* Tracking project-based KPIs and preparing reports for the departmental manager on a weekly basis.
Qualifications
* AutoCAD or similar experience.
* Sound engineering and manufacturing background with previous experience in Facilities Development and Engineering.
* Experience of reliability and maintainability principles and an understanding of the environmental impacts of engineering solutions.
* Ability to control and manage suppliers (both Material and Equipment).
* Working knowledge of the application of lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
* Previous experience of Supplier selection and tender management.
* Working knowledge of electrical control systems employed with automated equipment and conveyor equipment.
