Ospringe CE Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable person to look after our wonderful school and site. If you have great maintenance and DIY skills, the ability to use your initiative, work independently but are also a great team player, then we would love you to apply.
The successful candidate will work split hours to enable them to open up the school in the mornings and lock up the school at night. The hours are 37.5 per week all year round. Additional hours may be worked, if required, by arrangement with the Headteacher or School Business Manager.
The closing date has been set as Monday 20th January 2025 at 12pm; however, we reserve the right to close the vacancy early if the right candidate is found. Interviews will be held on Wednesday 29th January 2025.
Caretaking duties include, but are not limited to:
* Unlocking/locking/security/alarms
* Grounds maintenance
* Management of caretaking supplies
* Property maintenance including minor repairs and redecoration
* Health & Safety responsibilities including legionella testing and fire alarm testing (training can be arranged as necessary).
You will need to be organised and ideally live locally.
* Working hours: may be subject to variation. Different working hours may be necessary from time to time, to fit in with events happening at the school beyond the regular working day.
* Holiday entitlement: 25 days plus bank holidays. All holiday must be taken during the school holidays.
* Salary: Kent Range 4. KR4 - £23,338 to £23,921 full-time equivalent. There will be a probationary period of 6 months in the first instance.
